Applying the sensor: The FreeStyle Libre sensor is attached to the back of the upper arm using a simple applicator (disposable) and lasts for at least 14 days, storing glucose readings every 15 minutes for 8 hours.

To retrieve the data, simply scan the sensor with the reader in one second. This scan provides you with more information than with traditional blood glucose testing using test strips.
